After lunch at conferences the hall “dies”: people are tired, look at their phones, do not react to speakers. Polls and word clouds help, but only give text on the screen.
What organizers already use
Services like “My Voice”, Whenspeak, MTS Link sell interactivity: QR, questions, word clouds. The hall responds, but the effect is local: text on screen, no shared picture.
What light adds
The hall sees itself: everyone raises their phone, and the stands or hall form a single light picture. You can answer with light to questions from the stage: yes/no, choice of option, waves.
This is an energizer between sessions and an emotional finale for the awards. Viewers participate without standing up, without apps.
How to fit into the schedule
Opening: the hall answers with light to the greeting. Between blocks: 2–3 minutes for energizer. Finale: shared picture to music or host’s words. Preparation 1–2 weeks.
QR on screen, track in sound, one minute in the script. We prepare the page, patterns and report.
More about the technology in the article on how the show works. Conference format in the Corporate events and weddings section, for sponsors in Brands.
Scenarios by timeline points
Opening: the host asks everyone to raise their phones, the hall answers with light to the greeting. The screen shows the collective picture, everyone sees they are participating at the same time.
Energizer after lunch: the hall answers questions from the stage with light (yes/no, choice of option). 2–3 minutes, the host comments on results by the light in the hall, not by text on screen.
Awards finale: a shared light picture to music or the host’s words. The hall forms one drawing, everyone sees themselves as part of the event. The host only gives the signal, the light launches automatically.
How it differs from poll services
- Poll services give text on screen, we give a picture from the hall itself
- Poll services show results in percentages, we show live light response
- Poll services and our show work together: text + visual from the hall
Difficult venues without internet
In the planetarium case the show worked without internet: ultrasound from the speakers synced the flashlights even with mobile networks jammed. Suitable for theatres, closed halls and venues with limited network access. Details in the planetarium light show case.
